MakeMake Entertainment Nabs Two Sports Emmy Nominations

MakeMake is proud to share that two of our documentary projects have been nominated for Sports Emmys: Mountain Queen: The Summits of Lhakpa Sherpa for Outstanding Long Documentary, and UNTOLD for Outstanding Documentary Series.

Produced alongside SK Global Entertainment, OBB Productions, and Avocados and Coconuts for Netflix, Mountain Queen: The Summits of Lhakpa Sherpa documents mountain climber Lhakpa Sherpa as she climbs Mount Everest 10 times, the most of any woman in the world. The film previously received the People's Choice Award for Documentaries at TIFF. 

Also released on Netflix, UNTOLD is a series of sports documentaries that cover unique and less high-profile stories in sports. MakeMake produced “Sign Stealer”, the series’ look at the University of Michigan sign-stealing scandal, alongside UNINTERRUPTED, Propagate, and Stardust Frames.

The 2025 Sports Emmys will take place on May 20th at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall in Manhattan, and we look forward to cheering these projects on! In the meantime, you can stream UNTOLD and Mountain Queen: The Summits of Lhakpa Sherpa on Netflix.
